Energy software companies Energy21, Ecedo, Jules and Gridhub join forces
Press Release
Amsterdam, 19 June 2025
Energy software companies Energy21, Ecedo, Jules and Gridhub are joining forces under a single new name: Eneve. The merger brings together four specialised energy software companies to form one expert provider with over 25 years of experience, more than 130 specialists, and offices in the Netherlands, Portugal and the United Kingdom. This milestone marks the next step in developing an integrated software portfolio that helps energy companies stay in control across the entire energy value chain.
Through a client base of European energy market players — including AXPO, BASF and Vattenfall — Eneve supports more than 20 million access points. In the Netherlands, both established and emerging suppliers rely on its software, such as Eneco, Essent, Engie, Mega, Vandebron and Scholt Energie. Combined, these clients serve over 7 million households and 3 million business customers. Based on current operations, Eneve expects an annual revenue close to €30 million.
From collaboration to integration
The four companies had already been working together for some time. Now, by integrating their technologies, teams and domain knowledge, Eneve offers a coherent software portfolio that supports energy market players in procurement, pricing, portfolio management, contract handling, customer communications, consumption analysis and billing.
“Our mission is to make the energy chain manageable and future-proof,” says CEO Michiel Kuiper. “The energy market is in a pivotal phase of the transition to renewables and greater market flexibility. This brings price volatility, grid congestion and evolving regulations. As a result, there’s a growing need for transparency, flexibility and real-time control. That’s also an opportunity — to design a smarter, more efficient energy chain. Eneve supports market players who want to organise for this future flow of energy.”
Appointment of Managing Director Software: ready for the next phase
As of June 2025, Teun Levering has been appointed Managing Director Software. He will be responsible for further integrating the product portfolio and expanding Eneve’s international presence — including in Germany, Belgium and the UK. Teun brings extensive experience in SaaS, product development and business transformation.
With the merger of four specialised companies, a unified software portfolio and the expansion of its leadership team, Eneve is ready for the next phase. Supported by investment firm Vortex Capital Partners, the company contributes to continue contributing to transparency, control and continuity across the energy chain.
