Market compliance

Keep your market processes in flow as the rules change

Our software supports the data exchanges you run with grid operators. Our domain specialists track market developments as they happen, so your operations stay aligned with what the market expects.

Shared responsibility

You own compliance. We help you keep it.

As a market party, you carry the compliance obligations. You complete qualification, take part in acceptance testing with the market and run your market processes every day.

Our role is to make those obligations easier to meet. We build the data structures, messaging and processes your market role requires, keep them current as specifications change, and work alongside your team when something new is coming.

Market roles

WHERE WE SUPPORT YOU TODAY

We focus on the market roles where we support the full set of mandatory processes in the power and gas markets in the Netherlands.

The power market

Balance responsible party (BRP)

We support all mandatory BRP data flows exchanged through TenneT's MMC-Hub, as listed in TenneT's BRP MMC-Hub questionnaire. We also handle the measurement, allocation and reconciliation exchanges with metering responsible parties and DSOs. All flows use XML.

The gas market

Shipper

We provide the electronic communication you need to operate as a shipper with GTS: nominations, load forecasts, causer clearing confirmations, near-real-time and offline allocation, and reconciliation. Operational messages use Edig@s XML.

The consumer market

Energy supplier

We support the data exchanges suppliers run with EDSN and the DSOs, and we follow every Het Normo release that affects them.

HOW WE KEEP UP WITH MARKET CHANGES

Market requirements and technical specifications keep evolving as the energy market develops. Our domain specialists follow those changes in a structured way, so our software moves with the market.

01

Monitor

We follow the market bodies that shape your processes: TenneT's news for market parties and quarterly business roadmap, MyTenneT documentation, Het Normo publications and information sessions, Energiedatawijzer release specifications, and EDSN and the DSOs. Our clients also share early signals with us.

02

Assess

We check each upcoming change for its impact on our software, using official market documentation and input from our clients.

03

Document & Ship

When a change affects our software, we bring the relevant market documentation together and set out what needs to change.

We build the change into our software, ship it and keep your team informed along the way.

Validation

CHECKS THAT CATCH ISSUES BEFORE THE MARKET DOES

Market messages follow strict rules, and a rejected message costs time. All Eneve platforms check messages against the market's validation rules and follow each one through to acknowledgement.

Incoming messages

What we check on incoming messages

We check that the network area or allocation point code is valid, the time period matches what the market expects and the market party code is correct. We also check that your BRP has an allocation point in the network area, the data holds the expected combinations and no newer version of the message has already arrived.

Outgoing messages

What we confirm on outgoing messages

For messages you send to the TSO, such as trade nominations, we track the flow until the TSO confirms it has accepted the message.

Gas nominations

Capacity checks before gas nominations

Before your physical nomination (NOMINT) goes to GTS, we check each connection's forecast against its booked capacity. A forecast above capacity would be rejected, so we catch it first.

Working together

Close to our clients, close to the market

Market parties often hear about changes first, straight from TenneT or other market bodies. Our clients share that communication with us, and our domain specialists add their own insight from following the market closely.

Together, we turn new requirements into solutions that meet the market's rules and work well for your teams and your customers.
