The challenge
At BASF’s Antwerp site — one of the largest integrated chemical production locations in Europe — energy and utilities are essential to operations. BASF needed to forecast and allocate electricity accurately across multiple on-site users, integrate near real-time meter readings, and improve both cost control and supply security.
The solution
We implemented an Eneve solution for advanced utility management (EBASE Platform), customised for BASF’s non-regulated context. The system integrates with meter infrastructure and includes tailored logic and interfaces to support real-time operational decisions.
The result
BASF achieved grid operator certification on time, unlocked significant cost and CO₂ savings, and scaled its energy operations — without adding staff.
